To prepare the toenails for treatment, clip the nails or file them to help remove the areas where moisture will accumulate. Wash the feet in warm water with equal amounts of vinegar. Soak the feet until the cuticles are soft and the feet appear slightly wrinkled for about 30 minutes. This will allow the vinegar to absorb into the infected areas of the skin. Pat dry the feet.

Apply two drops of full strength vinegar to the infected toenails and areas. Allow this to dry completely. Put on a white cotton sock or stocking. Repeat this treatment for several weeks or until the toenails begin to respond to the treatment.
